Wood lap siding predominates, with cedar shake accents on porches and dormers. Historic color palettes are almost always period-appropriate multi-color schemes — body, trim, and accent all different, sometimes 4–5 colors on a single Queen Anne. We spec Sherwin-Williams Emerald body and Emerald Urethane Enamel on trim; oil-based primer on any bare wood after lead-safe scraping.
